Your account.
Your choice.

Request deletion of your Virgua account and associated personal data. You can make a request here even if you no longer have the app installed.

NO APP ACCESS REQUIRED

How to request deletion

  1. Email our privacy team

Write to privacy@virgua.com with the subject “Virgua account and data deletion request”. State that you want your account and associated data deleted.

  2. Identify your account safely

Include your registered name and email address or phone number. Add your Virgua ID if you know it. Where possible, send the request from your registered email address. Never send your password, account PIN, or OTP.

  3. Confirm ownership and any active sessions

Our team will reply to verify account ownership and help with any ongoing sessions. End or cancel active, paused, pending, or scheduled safety sessions, resolve any SOS, and leave your active Beacon—or delete it if you are its creator. If you cannot access the app, explain this in your email so support can help; you can still submit your request here.

  4. Receive your deletion confirmation

After verification and any safety-session issues are resolved, we confirm when deletion is scheduled and the date your 30-day recovery window ends. Sending an email alone does not immediately delete an account.

What happens to your data

Deletion covers your Virgua account and the personal data associated with it—not just removal of the app from your device.

Data categories and deletion or retention periods
DataDeletion or retention
Account and profileName, registered email/phone, profile details and account credentials are held during the 30-day recovery period, then permanently removed from the live account database.
Safety and location dataYour owned session records, check-ins, updates, location-sharing history and linked emergency/SOS records are removed with account deletion. Session records may be removed when deletion is first scheduled.
Contacts, Beacon and CommunityYour stored emergency contacts, personal Beacon memberships/check-ins, Community posts/comments/reactions and notifications are removed or their references to your account are cleared during permanent deletion. Records independently belonging to other users are not deleted merely because they referred to you.
Uploaded filesProfile photos, submitted identity/selfie files, Community images and stored SOS audio associated with your account are scheduled for storage cleanup during permanent deletion after the 30-day recovery period.
Security and system logsSeparate system/location logs may be retained for up to 90 days for safety, audit and security purposes under our Privacy Policy, then deleted.
Legally required records and backupsLimited financial, payment, identity or compliance records may need to be kept for the applicable legal retention period. Restricted backup copies expire through backup rotation rather than immediate live deletion. If additional retention applies to your request, our privacy team will explain the categories, reason and applicable period. Retained records are not used to reactivate your deleted account.

The 30-day period starts when your deletion is confirmed and scheduled, not when you first email us. Permanent deletion and file cleanup are performed by scheduled processes. See our Privacy Policy for the broader retention schedule.

Prefer to use the app?

In Virgua, open Settings → Manage profile → Delete account. Review the notice, enter your account PIN, and confirm. End or cancel ongoing sessions and leave or delete any active Beacon first.

If you have a subscription billed by Google Play, manage or cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting your Virgua account is not a substitute for cancelling a store-managed subscription.
